The outside world is beginning to take an interest in FASD, as its impact reaches a wide range of service providers in academic, family and judicial settings. We are busy presenting to politicians, university nursing classes and educational conferences. The public is finally listening!

September 9th is FASD Awareness Day. We encourage everyone who knows the dangers of prenatal drinking to take a minute and discuss the topic with loved ones, neighbours, and elected officials. We'll be hanging posters and ringing bells and sirens to alert our communities to the fact that the next generation is at risk because of the mix of pregnancy and alcohol.
